DEAR COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS,

 

On behalf of the Organizing Committee we cordially welcome you to the 13 IANR (International Association of Neurorestoratology) Meeting and International Conference "Stem cells: therapeutic outlook for nervous system disorders", which, in this form for the first time, will be held in Poland.

 

Our conference will focus on:

  1. translational medicine and its impact on research and clinical communities from around the world
  2. the recent advances in research on molecular mechanisms involved in central nervous system functioning in health and disease, as well as
  3. implementation of novel experimental therapies to the neurological clinic.

 

All participants will have the opportunity to attend interesting lectures and present their latest results in poster form. We are looking forward to your enthusiastic interest and participation.
We believe, that the Conference provides an opportunity to exchange the results of preclinical and clinical studies, views, ideas and technologies presented by excellent scientists from around the world.

The role of Chair of Pediatric and Adolescent Neurology Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Cracow in the activities of the Neurological Science Committee of Polish Academy of Sciences.

 

On June 1, 2018, the 10th Anniversary Conference of the Chair of Pediatric and Adolescent Neurology took place at the Jagiellonian University Collegium Maius in Cracow.The Chair compreses of Pediatric Neurology Clinic, Neurolphysiology and Electrophysiology Laboratories. Representatives of this University Unit for many years participated in the work of the Committee of Neurological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

For 2 terms, the members of the Children's Neurology Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences were Dr. Aleksander Gergont, MD, Ph.D., MD Alicja Kubik and prof. Marek Kaciński. Professor Kaciński was elected a member of the Neurological Science Committee for the years 2011-2014, where the Task Team for Pediatric Neurophysiology was created.
Scientific cooperation lasting since 1997 has resulted in the organization of many scientific conferences and edition of publications.

  1. The Conference „Neural tube defects – medical, psychological and architectonic issues”. 24-25 April 1998, Cracow. 15 publications and 15 abstracts were published in Medical Review (Przegląd Lekarski) 1998, 55, 4, 151-235.
  2. On 600th anniversary of the Jagiellonian University Revival the Conference titled „Current research projects of Polish Pediatric Neurology Departments”, was organized. 16-17 March 2001, Cracow. 8 original papers were published in the supplement of Medical Review ( Przegląd Lekarski) 2001, 58, 5-47.
  3. The funds from the Committee for Scientific Research of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences financed the publication of Supplement 1 of the 2003 Medical Review, 60, 1-53, which included 11 original papers in the field of children's electro-naurophysiology
  4. On September 21, 2012, the Polish Academy of Sciences together with the Program and Training Committee, Development and Biofeedback Sections as well as the Lodz and Cracow Departments of the Polish Society of Clinical Neurophysiology organized a conference "Neurophysiological studies in selected disease entities in adults and children" in Warsaw. 14 papers from all five disciplines of clinical neurophysiology were presented.
  5. Task Team of Pediatric Neurophysiology of Neurological Science Committee of Polish Academy of Sciences co-organized the conference "Neurology and Pediatric Neurophysiology at the Jagiellonian University" together with the Chair and the Cracow Branch, and the Biofeedback and Development Sections of the Polish Society of Clinical Neurophysiology as well as the Cracow Branch of the Polish Society of Pediatric Neurology. In this jubilee, for 650 years of the Jagiellonian University, 1364-2014, the National Scientific Leading Center of the Faculty of Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum was involved. 12 works from this conference The Jagiellonian University publishing house printed in the form of a book (ISBN 978-83-233-3636-5).
  6. Task Team of Pediatric Neurophysiology of Neurological Science Committee of Polish Academy of Sciences together with the Chair organized in Krakow on 24-256. April 2015 conference "Current problems of neurology and pediatric cardiology". 17 papers presenting the activity of both disciplines were presented.

During the conference organized on the Children's Day, prof. Bożena Galas-Zgorzalewicz, Secretary of the Committee of Neurological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences Took part. During the conference, 47-year work and the achievements of Marek Kaciński, head of the Chair of Pediatric and Adolescent Neurology Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in were summarized. The professor gave the conference participants greetings from Professor Urszula Fiszer, the Chairman of the Neurological Science Committee of Polish Academy of Sciences
